Shield Azure a fortified church Argent with wall of the same, mantle at dexter bendy of six of Gules and Argent and at sinister lozengy of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
The fortified church, dedicated to St. Vitus is the landmark of the municipality. The flanks of the mantle are representing the former rulers, at dexter the Free Imperial City of Nürnberg and at sinister the Palatine Electorate and its successor, the Electorate of Bayern.
