Shield parted by a fess embattled with one single embattlement, above Or a pair of scales Sable, beneath Gules three 6-point stars Argent ordered 1:2.
Meaning:
Eschau had been the capital of the Lordship of Wildenstein and gained the rights of a market town in 1285. Wildenstein Castle was possessed by the Counts of Rieneck since the 13th century. The counts later also held the town. Their successors since 1559 had been the Counts of Erbach until 1806, when the borders in southern Germany were changed by Emperor Napoleon I of France. The town was fortified and seat of a court of justice since around 1600. The scales are symbolising the market and the court. The tinctures red and golden are those of the Rieneck kin. The stars are taken from the arms of the Erbach kin. The embattlement is symbolising the former strong fortification.
