Shield Gules, a church Argent with two towers in flanks, in base superimposed by an inescutcheon, in chief an impending St.Mary with blue robe over a crescent recumbent Or, holding Jesus Christ in her left arm and a sceptre in her right hand. The inescutcheon is quartered, 2nd and 4th quarter Azure a bend Argent charged with three annulets Azure, 1st quarter the Franconian rake, 3rd quarter blue a pennant in bend, quartered of red and white with a golden staff.
Meaning:
The oldest seal from 1668 already displayed the current pattern of the arms. The village was acquired by the Bishopric of Würzburg in 1656. There must have been however an older seal from before 1617, as the inescutcheon dislays the personal arms of Julius Echter of Mespelbrunn, Bishop of Würzburg.
The flag was approved on 18 June 1953 by district governor of Nordbaden.
