The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a green over white over red tricolour. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Description of coat of arms:
The green shield is divided by a bendy, wavy line. Beneath the line is a silver (=white) sickle, above a cogwheel of the same colour. The shield has a silver chief divided by a red, embattled-counter-embattled fess. The shield is topped by a silver (=white) mural crown.
Meaning:
According to source the wavy line is symbolizing Itter creek, the sickle is symbolizing agriculture and the cogwheel industry. The fess is alluding to the counts of Berg, the former rulers. The mural crown is probably symbolizing the city rights.
