Shield Argent a woman with fair hair dressed Azure standing on a ball Vert and holding a sail of the same by her hands, base Vert, sinister flanch Azure charged with a pale wavy Or.
Meaning:
The arms are based on a image in the town hall of Ziegenrück. The woman is Fortuna, the goddess of luck. The flanch is representing Walsburg on the banks of the saale River, represented by the pale wavy.

Shield Argent chapé Vert, in base a bearded man issuant dressed Gules with cap of the same and belt Or exceeding the base quarter, holding a mattock Argent hafted Or in pale by his dexter hand and three grain ears Or by his sinister hand.
Meaning:
The white triangle on a green field is symbolising the local forest clearance, the name originally meant wedge-shaped clearance area. Also the bearded man is referring to forest clearance by his attributes mattock and grain, the latter symbolising the following cultivation. Red and silver had been the tinctures of the Lordship of Arnshaugk, to which Keila historically belonged.

Moxa Coat of Arms

Shield quartered of Argent and Sable, an fir Vert issuant from a base of the same.
Meaning:
The arms are based on an image in the town hall of Ziegenrück, which had however never been approved. Moxa belonged to the Ziegenrück County and thus to the Kingdom of Preußen (Prussia). This is symbolised by the Prussian tinctures black and white. The meaning of the conifer is not known. A book about tales of the Orla Shire mentions a great larch, which existed until 1932. It is assumed that the conifer might be a representation of that larch. The unappproved arms became an identifying symbol of the local people and local seals after 1945 displayed a conifer.

Paska Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent an ash Vert on base of the same, at sinister Sable parted by a cross patty Or over all a goose combattant Argent armed Gules, chief in counterchanged tinctures.
Meaning:
The ash is a local landmark. Cross and goose are referring to St. Martin, the local patron saint. The tinctures black and white are taken from an image on the facade of the town hall of Ziegenrück. The are furthermore the tinctures of the Kingdom of Preußen (Prussia), to which the municipality historically belonged.

Peuschen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Argent an eagle issuant Sable armed and tongued Or, beneath Vert three connected linden leaves in triangle.
Meaning:
The linden leaves are representing the former municipalities of Bahren, Laskau and Peuschen proper. Linden trees are very common in the municipality. The eagle is a differentiation of the Prussian eagle, as two of the above mentioned villages belonged to Preußen (Prussia) until 1945.

Ranis Coat of Arms

Shield Or a lion rampant Sable, armed and tongued Gules with lined mane Azure.
Meaning:
Ranis had been an imperial castle (German: Reichsburg) since the 11th century. Ranis is the seat of the administrative community. In 1199 German King Philipp of Schwaben enfeoffed the Landgraves of Thüringen with the castle. Castle and village belonged to the Counts of Käfernberg-Schwarzburg since 1208, to the Wettin kin since 1418, to the Electorate of Sachsen since 1571 and to the Kingdom of Preußen (Prussia) since 1815. Ranis gained city rights on 30 September 1381, was walled but in 1590 it was considered to be just a market town. The arms are basically those of the Margraves of Meißen, who ruled the city since 1418. As a distinguishing mark the mane of the lion was coloured blue at the beginning of the 21st century. The arms are based on a pentagonal city seal from the 15th century. The colours of the banner are those of the Wettin kin.

Shield parted per pale, above Argent a spire issaunt Gules flanked by two chestnut leaves Vert, beneath Gules a lower demi-wheel Argent.
Meaning:
The spire is that one of the local church, rebuilt during the 19th century. The leaves are smbolising the seven chestnut trees surrounding the church. The wheel is symbolising the location alongside the road between Nürnberg and Leipzig.

Shield Azure a pair of scales Or, in chief a sword Argent hilted Or in fess, in base two chevrons Gules fimbriated Argent in pale.
Meaning:
Local seals from 1873 and 1949 displayed Justitia, the goddess of justice, symbolising the existance of a local court yard. She was later replaced by her attributes sword and scales. The chevrons are taken from the family arms of the Lords of Breitenbuch.. The family was responsible for the development of the village.

Wilhelmsdorf Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, a woman issuant, dressed Argent with belt Or and cape Azure fixed by a brooch Or, holding a pair of scales Or by her dexter hand and a sword of the same in fess by her risen sinister hand, base Azure a tankard Argent, flanked by two linden leaves Or.
Meaning:
Wilhelmsdorf was first mentioned by a charter in 1381. It had been a settlement of miners until the 17th century. The woman is Justitia, the goddess of justice and was already displayed on local seals from 1873, 1916 and 1947. The base is representing the village of Kalte Schenke. The tankard is symbolising the name giving inn and the leaves are representing the local linden.

Ziegenrück Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, a sinister facing he-goat statant Sable, impending over his back a building Gules with three towers with black spires, the central tower is bigger.
Meaning:
Ziegenrück had been a possession of the Counts of Orlamünde in the 13th century and of the Wettin kin at the beginning of the 14th century and finally since 1356. Inbetween it belonged to the Reeves of Plauen after 1320. Since 1567 it was a part of the Electorate of Sachsen and since 1815 of the Kingdom of Preußen (Prussia). Ziegenrück was first mentioned as a walled city in 1328. It had a city council including the low level cognisance since 1405. The arms are based on a city seal from 1403. The arms are canting, displaying a goat (German: Ziege) with a building on his back (German: Rücken). The building probably is stressing the character of a city. The pattern chnaged slightly, the goat today is more stylised and the colour of the spires changed from red to black.
