Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a horseshoe Or, at sinister Argent a crozier Sable.
Meaning:
The horseshoe appeared on local seals since 1811 and was adopted as coat of arms in 1904 with the current tinctures. It is symbolising the rural character and the importance of local waggoners in the past. The crozier was added in order to stress that the village belonged to the Bishopric of Basel for centuries. Erroneously the black crozier of Basel city was added and not the red one of the bishopric.

Banner and arms were approved on 25 September 1969 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 747/1969 and 479/1971.
