Shield Or a bend Gules, charged with a fish Argent in bend.
Meaning:
The Teutonic Order acquired the municipality from St. Gallen Abbey and had the manorial ownership until 1803. Against the Order the Margraves of Hachberg-Sausenberg claimed the high level cognisance and the souvereignty, which had been acquired by the Margraves of Baden in 1503. Reeve Ernst Friedrich of Leutrum mentioned a fish as canting local symbol around 1730. Local seals however just displayed the Badenian arms. The fish appeared first on the bend on a municipal seal from the 19th century.

The banner had never been approved officially. The arms were adopted in 1905 by the municipality.
