Shield Azure on base Vert a church Argent with belfry and roofs Gules seen from South, in sinister chief a cuffed hat Argent charged with a bend Sable and topped by three heron feathers Argent.
Meaning:
The church (German: Kirche) is a canting element. The cuffed hat had been the crest of the family arms of the Knights of Sürgenstein. Veit Sürg of Sürgenstein held imperial fiefdoms and fiefdoms of the Benedictine St.Gallen Monastery. Furthermore he had been the imperial chief cook. The Lordship of Sürgenstein with castle, motte and a few estates became part of the municipality's local subdistrict in the 19th century. The family died out in 1892. The family arms displayed a golden eagle on the black bend.

The banner probably has never been approved officially. The arms were approved on 6 January 1937 by governor (Reichsstatthalter) of Bayern.
