It is a black over red over blue horizontal tricolour. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Description of coat of arms:
In a blue shield is a silver (= white) ancient ship with three masts. The blue shade of lower stripe is darker than that one in the coat of arms.
Meaning:
Bunde was first mentioned in 1428 as seat o9f a parish and it was also seat of local chieftains.The arms were adopted in the early 20th century and are based on the only known seal of Bunde, from around 1550. The ship is symbolizing that the town had been an important harbour in the Reiderland region. This was made possible after severe floodings of the Dollart Bay in 1362 and 1509. Later the land was reclaimed and Bunde lost its harbour.
