Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules three connected piles reversed Argent, at sinister Or a bend wavy Azure.
Meaning:
Seals until 1543 displayed the arms of both rulers in a shield parted per pale, at dexter the so called Franconian rake representing the Bishops of Würzburg, and at sinister the quartered shield of the Counts of Castell. In 1544 the arms of the latter were replaced by the blue bend wavy in a golden shield. The bend wavy is a representation of the name giving Volkach River. In 1819 the tinctures of Bayern were introduced into both parts of the shield. The former tinctures were restored in 1952.

The arms were granted on 22 February 1544 by Bishop Konrad of Würzburg and confirmed on 14 October 1952 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
