It is a white-green vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is in a white bannerhead (see left image above), sometimes with an additional black inscription "REHAU" (see right image above) beneath the shield.

Shield Argent, a roe deer salient Gules armed Or between two firs Vert, based on a mount issuant Vert, on the deer's shoulder an impending inescutcheon quartered of Argent and Sable.
Meaning:
The pattern of the first seal from 1427 is not known. An image from 1581 displays the arms with a deer with attires and the quartered shield of the Zollern kin, which had not been mentioned in 1427. Since 1600 the following arms were basically the same. In 1819 the tinctures of the Zollern shield were changed to the Bavarian tinctures white and blue. The pattern changed in details in the 19th century, the shield was replaced by a blanket, the trees were changed to deciduous trees and the canting deer sometimes was displayed with attires.

The arms were granted on 11 July 1427 by Elector Friedrich I of Brandenburg. The banner was approved in 1927 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
