Shield Gules, a dog statant Argent with collar Sable, ring and drop ears Argent.
Meaning:
King Rudolf I granted city rights in 1281. The first city seal with prints since 1304 already displayed the dog (German: Bracke) of the Brackenheim kin, commissioners of the local Lords of Magenheim, local rulers of the city. All later seal displayed the dog either statant, passant or "searching". The dog also appears on boundary stones. The first depiction in colour is from 1509.

Meaning:
The arms are the family arms of the Counts of Neipperg.
Neipperg Borough and Schwaigern city have the same arms. The colours in both banners however are in different order.
