    Molschleben Coat of Arms

    Shield Vert a linden Argent, flanked by an inescutcheon Argent charged with a pair of shearer's scissors Gules at dexter and a grindwheel Or at sinister, base Argent charged with a fess wavy Azure.
    Meaning:
    The blue fess wavy is representing the local Nesse River. The linden is referring to the big tree on the local main square and a local pond surrounded by lindens. The inescutcheons displays the arms of the Lords of Molschleben. The wheel is referring to the cultivation of woad (Latin: Isatis tinctoria), being the base of a blue colour for cloth. In the village there had been two mills and two dye factories.

    Shield Vert, issuant from a kettle Or over flames Gules a saint proper nimbed Or.
    Meaning:
    The arms display St. Vitus, patron saint of the local parish church from the 15th century together with his instrument of torture.
