Shield Azure a bendy triplemount issuant Argent charged with a bend Gules, at sinister a fir Argent issuant from mount, on dexter chief a radiant sun Or.
Meaning:
Sun, fir and mount are referring to the location in the Sonnenwald (= sunny wood), a part of the Bavarian Forest. The red bend is symbolising a way (German: Weg) and is canting. It is furthermore representing the road alongside the slopes of the wood. The name probably is derived from "ship way", referring to the connection between Böhmen (Bohemia) and the ships on the Donau River (Danube). The tinctures silver and red are those of the Bishopric of Passau, silver and blue those of the Electorate of Bayern.
