Coat of Arms

Shield Or, two eagle's heads Sable averted armed and tongued Gules, chief Azure charged with three sheaves of grain Or ordered per fess.
Meaning:
The arms were newly designed in 1971 and show in chief the canting sheaves (German: Garben), which were also present in the arms of Okarben and Klein Karben. The eagle heads are taken from the arms of Rendel, where they appeard in an old 18th century seal of the village, which displayed the imperial eagle. Rendel belonged to the Imperial Estate of Friedberg. Originally the proposal displayed also a cross of the Teutonic Order, which had many possessions in the area. The cross was not added to the arms, to avoid overloaded arms.
The current arms were approved on 20 March 1972.
