Jahnsdorf Coat of Arms

Shield quartered, 1st quarter Argent an eradicated tree Sable with leaves Vert and fruit Gules, 2nd quarter Azure Justitia, the Goddess of Justice, proper, 3rd quarter Gules a sinister facing monk dressed by a cowl of Sable and Argent, 4th quarter Argent a swan statant Sable armed Gules.
Meaning:
The quarters are representing the four parts of the municipality, Jahnsdorf proper, Leukersdorf, Seifersdorf and Pfaffenhain. The tree is representing Jahnsdorf, which had been a place of orcharding. The Goddess of justice, recognisable by her attributes sword, scales and blindfold, is taken from the municipal seal of Leukersdorf. The monk is representing Pfaffenhain, which belonged to the Cistercian Grünhain Monastery for a long time. The swan thus has to represent Seifersdorf.

Leukersdorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pall reversed, above right Azure Justitia, the Goddess of Justice, proper, above left a monk dressed by a cowl of Sable and Argent, beneath a sinister facing swan statant Sable armed Gules.
Meaning:
The arms display the former arms of Leukersdorf above right, of Pfaffenhain above left and of Seifersdorf in base. The latter was incorporated into Leukersdorf in 1950, the former in 1974. For further details see above Jahnsdorf Municipality.
