Shield Gules parted by a bend sinister Argent, above right a crozier issuant Argent, beneath left a grain ear Or in bend sinister.
Meaning:
The bend sinister is a representation of the Roman road between Weißenburg and Kösching via Pfünz, which crossed the current municipality. The abbot's crozier is reminding on the year 820, when Wettstetten was mentioned first as a donation of Abbot Siegfried of Englbrechtsmünster, given to the St.Emmeram Abbey in Regensburg. The crozier and the tinctures white and red are also referring to the Bishopric of Eichstätt, to which the village belonged between 1296 and 1803. The grain ear is symbolising agriculture, especially cultivation of cereals, as main business line.
