Shield Gules, a bearded saint Argent sitting on a bench of the same, holding a disc Or charged with a Paschal Lamb Argent by his hands.
Meaning:
The first city seal with prints since 1359 probably was made on occasion of the grant of city rights in 1335 by German King Ludwig the Bavarian. The seal already displayed the saint, recognisable as St. John the Baptist by his attribute, the Paschal Lamb. He is also the local patron saint. The first seal already displayed the saint. The current version is based on a wooden sculpture, made in 1935. Posture and attributes of the saint changed frequently during the centuries. The tinctures red and white are those of the Bishopric of Würzburg, the former ruler.
The seal displays the arms and has a Gothic circumscription with separators as follows: "Bayern" (above) and "Stadt Seßlach" (beneath).

The arms were confirmed on 16 October 1959 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
