Shield Gules a triplempount Vert charged with bar wavy Argent, on its top a church Argent with two towers seen from the West, superimposing a spade Or and a mallet Or in saltire.
Meaning:
The region between the Weißer Regen, a river, and Lambach, a creek, was donated to the Benedictine Rott Monastery. The area was covered by the woods between Arber, Osseck and Zwercheck. As a result the settlement Lam was established in 1279. The village had been controlled by clerical manorial lords. Elector Max Emmanuel of Bayern ended that status in 1698. Before Lam had been a site of mining and gained the status of a "gefreite Bergstadt" in 1522. The status included the rights of prospecting for single persons. The triplemount is referring to the location in the woods, the fess wavy is representing the Lambach, the spade is referring to forest clearance and the mallet to mining. The church had been in the arms of the monastery since 1358.
