Shield parted per pale; at dexter Or a judge with coat and hat Sable, a staff Argent in bend sinister in his right hand and a book Or in his left hand; at sinister Argent an oak Vert with acorns Or, issuant from a triplemount Vert issuant from base.
Meaning:
The village had no proper seals before the 19th century. The Bavarian kings introduced "usual" seals in the 19th century. During the rule of the Bishops of Bamberg Memmelsdorf had been seat of a reeve and a local court.

Banner and arms were approved on 5 December 1963 by Minister of Interior of Bayern. The symbols were confirmed on 1 June 1973 by district governor of Oberfranken for a greater municipality after some incorporations of minor villages. The flag is approved for use with arms (see left image above) and without arms (see right image above).
