Shield Gules a fess wavy Argent, in chief a fish Argent, in base a sinister facing fish Argent.
Meaning:
The arms are based on seals of the Lords of Fischach from the 14th century. They had been commissionaires of the Lords of Schwabegg, who had been reeves of the Bishops of Augsburg. The tinctures are those of the bishopric. Seals from 1826 displayed two trees and a fisher with a fishing-rod. The trees were omitted in seals and arms since 1938. The municipality applied for new symbols and originally the fess wavy, representing a creek (German: Bach or Ach) and the fish were chosen to create canting arms. The tinctures are those of the Bishopric of Augsburg. Fischach gained the rank of a market town in 1952.
