Shield Or, a sinister facing elk's head Sable, issuant from the dexter edge of the shield.
Meaning:
The elk is considered to be canting, as the prefix "ell-" here and in Ellwangen is derived from "Elch". The flag colours had been chosen in order to distinguish the local flag from that one of the state.

The arms were adopted by the municipality in 1924. The banner was approved on 26 July 1957 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 450/1957.
