Maicao is a municipality of the Colombian Department of La
Guajira. It was founded on 27 June 1927 by Colonel Rodolfo
Morales and Tomás Curvelo Iguarán, on behalf of the Department
of Magdalena in the middle of the Wayuu people territory.
The flag of Maicao is shown only at Spanish wikipedia
and is horizontally divided red-green.
