I have just received from the Government of Cundinamarca a
book that deals with on the shields and flags of this department.
This book is called "Shields, Flags and Hymns of
Cundinamarca", written by Rosalba Salazar Gallo for the
Secretariat of Culture of Cundinamarca. I reviewed it, and above
is the correct flag.

"Compuesta de tres franjas superpuestas en forma triangular
así:
La primera de color rojo, que significa la sangre derramada por
los hijos del municipio para defender aún con sus vidas la
integridad territorial y el orden jurídico contra las ofensivas
de extranos y violentos.
La segunda de color blanca, símbolo de paz y honestidad de su
gente.
La tercera de color verde, significa la esperanza de unidad y
progreso existente en el municipio, color de la palma de iraca,
origen de la industria de tejidos en la región."
