I have just received from the Government of Cundinamarca a
book that deals with on the shields and flags of this department.
This book is called "Shields, Flags and Hymns of
Cundinamarca", written by Rosalba Salazar Gallo for the
Secretariat of Culture of Cundinamarca. Here is the flag of
Ubaque (Oriente Province).

"Compuesta por los colores verde, blanco y azul, los que
significan lo siguiente:
El verde: representa el patrimonio ecológico y cultural, es
signo del reverdecer o de la renovación de Ubaque.
El blanco: signo de paz y de nobleza, en su territorio y su
gente.
El azul, representa la riqueza hídrica presente en la
jurisdicción, como son la laguna de Ubaque y el río Palmar, con
todos sus afluentes."
