Split of white with red cross and red with white crozier.
The coat of arms was taken over by the Canons of Kreuzlingen, which was abolished in 1848. Red and white
(livery colours) symbolize the innocence and shed blood of Jesus. The cross on the right makes it a canting
flag (Kreuz = cross; old word: crucelin). The crosier on the left emphasizes the monastic past of the place.
