This "sheep's house" flag is one of the best canting flag we have seen until now.
Ivan Sache, 16 January 2001
The canting (both in German and English) may be better than you realize.
Schaffhausen ("sca^fa-hausen") means "house of ships", and not sheep house. The canton
flag used to be for a while the same as the city flag under the erroneous understanding that it was a "sheep house". See my
comments on the canton flag on the Schaffhausen canton page.
