The flag is blue with a golden-yellow disk cut by a line that runs horizontally
from the hoist side to the center of the disk, then turns sharply downward
and curves counter-clockwise to the lower flyward portion of the disk. According to
the official municipal website, the
flag was adopted by law of 10 November 1983, and the blue line on the central disk
is a portrayal of the Botacatu coastline.
