The municipality of Pinheiro Preto (3,147 inhabitants in 2010; 6,571 ha) is located 400 km west of Florianópolis.

A white flag, with the municipal arms in the center.
The flag is shown on the official site at

but it makes no real sense, showing a white diamond shape on a white field.

The flag of Pinheiro Preto is white with the municipal coat of arms in the
center.

On the arms, the tree recalls the town's name, lit. Black Brazilian
Pine. The grapes highlight the significance of wine-growing in the municipality.
Gerino de Costa planted in 1919 the first grapevine, which produced two years
later Santa Catarina's first wine. The municipality has now some 20
wine-growers, who account for 70% of the state's production.

The flag and emblem of the Junior Municipal Chamber of Pinheiro Preto was
approved on 2 September 2019 by the Chamber.
