The municipality of Armazém (7,730 inhabitants in 2010; 17,349 ha) is located
170 km south of Florianópolis.
Armazém ("General store") is named for the
general store established by José Manoel Corrêa.
The municipality of Armazém
was established in 1965, separating from Tubarão.
