The municipality of Tiradentes do Sul (6,461 inhabitants in 2010; 23,448 ha) is located on the border with Argentina, here river Uruguai, 400 km north-west of Porto Alegre

The flag and arms of Tiradentes do Sul are prescribed by Municipal Law No. 31
promulgated on 1 June 1993. The symbols are not described in the Law.
