The municipality of Barra Funda (2,507 inhabitants in 2016; 6,003 ha) is
located 350 km north-west of Porto Alegre.

The flag of Barra Funda is horizontally divided in three different shades of
blue, superimposed with the municipal coat of arms, either inscribed in a white
disc or directly applied to the flag.
