The flag of Casca is the municipal coat of arms on a white field. The coat
of arms depicts a white section of wall between a gold sword and wing in
chief on a red field and a pig standing on a green field, all within a black
and white checkered bordure. The wall recalls the work of the inhabitants
in the construction industry, while swine farming is one of the main
economic activities. The wing is said to be that of a
Roman eagle, representing the Italian immigrants, while the sword is for the
municipality's wartime origin. A bordure is said to be the symbol of favor
and protection while the checkered black and white pattern evokes the events
of the revolution of 1923. The shield is flanked by branches of bean, soy,
yerba-mate, wheat, and grapevine shoots. The portrayal of the sword and wing may
be way off, since the source image is extremely blurred.
