The flag of the municipality of Mossoró, population 213,841, situated in the
northeast of Brazil, interior of the state of Rio Grande do Norte is a blue over
white horizontal bicolor, with the shield and garland placed centrally. The
shield contains a sunrise scene behind a solitary tree and three white piles of
salt (a major commodity produced by the city).
