Another agrobusiness center, the flag was created by the municipal law
044/89.
Symbology: The green band of the flag means the nature, the color of
the open pasture and the bush, the farming and the pastures for the cattle. The
white central band, color of the peace, of the harmony, characterizing the
horizon, represents the way of the peace, integration and progress. The superior
band, of blue color, symbolizes the sky, giving perspective of the way followed
by the community. In the center of the flag of the city, the circle, symbolizing
the tropical sun, beyond a grain of soy, symbolized by the two green leaves In
the central part of the yellow circle, we find letters N and M , initials of
Nova Mutum, that still represents the bird Mutum, typical of the region and the
name of the City. In the center of the flag in the characterization of letter N,
we find the words PEACE, INTEGRATION, PROGRESS, symbolizing that through the
peace, typical of the people, we will obtain the integration of the communities,
making possible the progress of the city.
