A complex design based on a descending yellow diagonal that expands to the upper hoist; above a pale blue field, below a white descending diagonal and below that a green triangle. On the blue field, a yellow crown. On the yellow field toward the fly a black and white gem diamond. On the white stripe a branch of tobacco with three berries.

The flag repeats the colors of the
Brazilian flag. The crystal or diamond represents the richness of its subsoil.
The tobacco leaf, the black gold of a period of local agriculture. The crown
symbolizes the Empire of the Divine Holy Spirit.
