The flag is rectangular with five unequal horizontal stripes: red, white,
black, white and red (approx. 10:6:4:6:10) and a white hoist triangle with the
coat of arms on it. This is quartered of red and white with a pair of golden
oranges with green leaves on the I, a red phrygian cap on the II, two black oil
derricks on the III and two golden cogwheels (placed SW-NE) on the IV. Silver
mural crown with five visible towers and red internal cushion visible below, and
red scroll with golden backside reading "ALAGOINHAS" in golden capitals.
