An "Australian Flag with letters A N A flown from the office of the Australian Natives Association in Perth". The flag was described in a 1936 letter from the Australian Prime Minister's Office to the
British Home Office, which stated that there was no Australian law against it, but
asked for the British view on adding letters to a national flag.
The Home Office replied that there was no British legislation on the matter.
"Public opinion alone should be relied upon to prevent abuse.
It was not illegal, but incorrect and improper."
