The arms show a yellow/golden upright pall on red, with a six-pointed
star in each of the three fields.
According the communal website the three golden stars represent on the one hand the three municipal
districts, which are Kobersdorf, Lindgraben, and Oberpetersdorf, and which have been united to form the
municipality of Kobersdorf since January 1, 1971. On the other hand they also symbolize the three
predominant religious denominations in Kobersdorf, Protestantism, Catholicism, and Judaism.
On 18 June 1996, the market town of Kobersdorf was granted the right to bear a municipal coat of arms in
recognition of its cultural commitment.
The official colours are red and yellow.

Emblem of Kobersdorf's Jewish Community until its destruction in 1938. Outer inscription (translated):
"Seal of the Israelite Community Kobersdorf". In the center the Hebrew letters "KK KD"
(קק קד) for "Kahila Kadosh Kobersdorf" (Holy congregation of Kobersdorf).
The Jews had found refuge in Kobersdorf since 1526/1527, when the Turks expelled them from Ödenburg
(Sopron) after their victory against the Hungarians. After the Nazi takeover in March 1938, the remaining
Jews were deported to Vienna in May 1938.
Kobersdorf belonged to the so-called Siebengemeinden (Seven Communities, Hebrew: Sheva Kehilot), with a special Jewish history (beside Eisenstadt, Deutschkreutz, Frauenkirchen, Kittsee, Lackenbach, Mattersburg). As one of very few places Kobersdorf still has its synagogue; its demolition was canceled in 1941 for reasons that are not entirely clear.
