According to Vexilloteca[vxt], the dark red shade of the Albanian flags was changed (de facto?) in 1934 to a lighter shade. In 1939, the national flag was shown in Flaggenbuch [neu92] in light red. The drawings on this page agree witoh those shown by K. H. Hesmer [hes92].
