This photograph was taken at the Narragansett Indian Church and shows the Narragansett tribal flag flying *above* the United States flag on the same flagpole. It is a pale blue field, with the tribal seal centrally located. A detail of the seal may be seen on the Narragansett tribe web site: www.narragansett-tribe.org (with music). On this page, there is a different flag design, described as the "pow wow flag": www.narragansett-tribe.org/newsletter.htm.

On this site may be seen photographs of an unusual use of the Union Flag, flying below the United States flag on the same flagpole at Rose Island, Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island: www.galenfrysinger.com/newport_rose_island.htm and, at the bottom of the page, the use of the "Don't tread on me" flag, to call the ferry. Note, this page takes a very long time to load, due to its construction method.
