It is located along the eastern shoreline of Oxford Lake at the mouth of the Hayes River and is approximately 950 km northeast of Winnipeg. The reserves are located on the ridge of land between Oxford Lake to the west and Black Lake to the east. The Band is signatory to Treaty 5 signed in 1909.
