According to
this blog on local flags in Venezuela, Arismendi adopted its municipal flag
fairly recently in June 2021. Blue is for the sea and sky, brown for cocoa and
the earth, and red represents spilled blood. The flag also depicts a map of the
municipality in green in the center, and depicts a sun with eleven rays.
