At Facebook, we can see information about the flag of Piar. The author of the flag is Professor José Ramón Gil from Padre Pedro Chien Municipality.
The upper yellow stripe represents the incandescent, scorching sun of Guayana that illuminates each dawn of the Upatan man, with his faith placed in God and His creative work.
The green stripes represent the immense wealth in forests Piar has, expressed through its many varied species of timber. The blue stripe represents the clean blue sky of Upata, studded with blue clouds.
Centered on the blue stripe, there is a white star taking the place of the eighth star of the Venezuelan flag, which represents the province of Guayana. The lower yellow stripe represents the gold and mining wealth the municipality has.
Date of adoption unknown, but I imagine it was anywhere between 2003 and 2006, between the adoption of the coat of arms and Poposki's posting of the flag.
