In 1901 the Long Branch Ice Boat & Yacht Club was founded, in Long Branch,
New Jersey. It appears the club was for hard sailing and soft sailing right from
the start, and 120 years later, this is still the case.
The club's
signal-burgee is a tri-burgee blue before red over white, with the blue and the
white each having a five-pointed star, counter-coloured.
