Lloyd's Register of American Yachts. 1906, Plate 7, shows a flag for the "Houston Yacht and Power Boat Club". It's the last image on the last club flags plate, beyond "Yonkers", thus it would appear this was a late entry. The image shows approximately a 2:3 burgee, red over blue, bearing a white H. It's drawn slightly asymmetrically, but I don't know whether that was the intention, or whether it was to quickly fit the late entry in. Maybe the club has more detail. (I sometimes wonder whether clubs give other, previous burgees some honourable status.) I'll copy this to them so they can comment as well.
