Located in Marina del Rey, chartered on 8 April 1952. The blue charge in the middle of the stylized yellow R is probably a royal crown.

Somewhere in the years since 2000, the Del Rey have put up a video that
covers that topic. Currently viewable as
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CNK8cypADA&t=883s, it has the daughter of
the creator of the burgee explaining the details: 'This curve here [points to
the hoist-most change] is supposed to resemble a "D", for "Del": "Del Rey Yacht
Club". And of course the crown is for the king.'
There we have it. We did
recognise that the yellow is an "R"; the stylised form is so that the hoist is a
"D", and the eye in the R is a "crown" for the king.
