The Carolina Yacht Club was established in 1853. I doubt that it has always
been located as it is now. But for what it's worth, it's located in Wrightsville
Beach, North Carolina, US, between the Intercoastal Waterway and the Atlantic
Ocean.
The club's burgee is a white field bearing a red five-pointed
star. The size of the star seems to vary over time.

The American Yachts List for 1891 - Thomas Manning, shows the same burgee,
but rather as a broad pennant.

The American Yachts List for 1891 also shows officers' flags.
