The University of New Orleans is a public institution of higher learning established in 1958 in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. The school is part of the University of Louisiana System and has an undergraduate student body of more than 6,500. The school colors are blue and silver and the sports teams' mascot is the Privateers. (www.uno.edu/)
The flag of the University of New Orleans can be seen in photographs online at www.unoalumni.com,
www.uno.edu, and www.customcatering.net.
The flag features the University's logo in white centered on a blue field. The shade of the blue field appears to be a bright blue rather than the dark blue shown in the official logo on the school's website. The logo shows the New Orleans skyline in white inside a blue circle, with the initials "uno" and a fleur-de-lis in blue within the skyline. To the right of the skyline is the school's name in white letters.
