The official flag of Susquehanna University has the field is divided from lower hoist to upper fly, with orange toward the hoist and maroon toward the fly. The official seal of the university is in the canton in maroon on the orange background.

This flag appears to represent the Susquehanna University athletic teams, the River Hawks, and features the athletic logo centered on a maroon field. The logo itself shows a river hawk's head in maroon, orange, grey, and white. The word "SUSQUEHANNA" is arched above the bird's head in white capital letters, while the words "RIVER HAWKS" are printed below the bird in smaller, orange, capital letters.
